Red Lead Manufacturing Plant / Red Lead Furnace

CAPACITIES PER BATCH : 2 MT | 4.5 MT

OPERATION :

Red Lead Furnace is a refractory-lined oven designed for precision and consistency. It operates as a batch process, in which the lead oxide is heated and maintained at 450–500°C until the conversion from PbO to Pb₃O₄ is complete. Ideally, this conversion requires 20–24 hours. The production rate depends greatly on the amount of free lead present in the input oxide—lower free lead results in faster and more efficient Red Lead batches.

A gas- or oil-fired burner is used to maintain the required temperature inside the furnace. Thermocouples continuously record and control the internal temperature, switching off the burners whenever not required, thus achieving significant energy savings.

The furnace operates under negative pressure, and the burner’s combustion air is filtered and released into the atmosphere. Raw material is fed using a screw conveyor connected to a load-cell-mounted silo, which is equipped with vibrators to ensure smooth and consistent oxide feeding.

OTHER FEATURES :

Fully Automatic with PLC based Control system
Totally enclosed system
Touch Screen Based Interface
One Button START/STOP

In addition to these features, the Red Lead Manufacturing Furnace Plant offers enhanced operational reliability, reduced manual intervention, and improved safety. Its automation ensures stable product quality, while the enclosed system minimizes contamination and environmental impact. The robust design allows continuous performance even under demanding industrial conditions. With precise temperature control and efficient material handling, the Red Lead Manufacturing Furnace Plant supports higher output, lower fuel consumption, and consistent batch-to-batch uniformity—making it an ideal solution for industries seeking quality, efficiency, and long-term durability.
